Come along as we celebrate the opening of the Helo Ddieithryn Exhibition across Cardiff city centre and reflect on a week of activities examining the state of theatre making in Wales! 

We invite Wales-based designers & producers to join us in the lobby of the Sherman Theatre for an afternoon of conversations and exchanges exploring the relationship between designers and producers - two key roles in the theatre making that often seem to not fully understand the challenges, commitment, time, and resources each need to fully collaborate. Facilitated by director, producer, and arts leader Rhian Hutchings, we hope to begin having the difficult conversations and lay groundwork for a more sustainable and collaborative theatre making in Wales.

An industry networking and social event to celebrate the opening of hello stranger East London. The event will enable designers, creatives, and artists to meet venues, producers, directors, and programmers to network and discuss how we better support our local arts ecology.

A buffet and drinks will be served at this event.

As a part of the evening, we would also like to invite you to join us to see The Flood 7.30pm.

The North West Design Allotment welcome you to join us at The Yard to celebrate North West Theatre Design of all disciplines and the wider theatre scene in our region. This event is a part of the ”Hello Stranger UK exhibition of performance design 2019-2023”

Our event kicks off at 1pm with open space working, a chance to bring your to do list and tick off some tasks in great company. Throughout the day, we will continue to set up our exhibition. You are more than welcome to drop of any completed exhibition panels, make one of your own - or simply think about some of the provocations that have come from our conversations so far.

If you need to use a scalpel or glue to create your panel, please be mindful to bring a protective work mat. You are welcome to bring materials and equipment of your own. If you would like to contribute to the event using procreate, or digital drawing we have screens available for a short screen recording or a show reel.

At 7pm, the drink and draw social We will have drawing materials available to you so if you fancy doodling as you drink, catch up with friends or find a new collaborator; this is a relaxed social for you to enjoy however you‘d like! It’s been a while since we’ve been to a theatre social, and a very long time since we’ve been to one led by designers! So please come and join the knees-up.
