This will be an installation of the collectively produced response to the question of the future of performance design, by North London designers. It will be produced through a workshop on 3rd March and through submitted video and audio responses, forming an interactive environment for visitors.
'The Shed'
Constructed from discarded scenery and recycled elements, the ‘shed’ serves as a static focal point representing and highlighting for all the process of design, the joy of design and its integral role in a production. It is the perfect place to stop for a brew, providing a space to stimulate discussions with theatre makers about the experience of design, highlighting different ways of working and assessing accessibility.
East Midlands Celebration
Join us for a drink, talks, and a video showcasing regional designer work.
Exhibition
The East of England hello stranger team have designed interactive stations around the public foyer and bar areas of the theatre. The stations invite the public to engage with various stages of the design process (including script reading, research, sketching, 3D renderings and texture sampling). The exhibition is an exciting chance to see behind the scenes of the design process, for budding theatre designers, creatives and audiences interested in the work of performance designers.
