Come along as we celebrate the opening of the Helo Ddieithryn Exhibition across Cardiff city centre and reflect on a week of activities examining the state of theatre making in Wales! 

Come and join a social event to celebrate the North London installation. We invite and welcome back designers to view and discuss the exhibition and design as a practice with a drink of your choice. 

This is an evening of conversation and shared experiences; a social gathering with an integrated panel Q&A with some of the exhibited artists, ranging from designers to filmmakers. Confirmed speakers are Tajpal Rathore, Artistic Director of Tribe Arts and Publisher of Off/Stage Zine; Ed Grimoldby, Projection and Video Designer; Bret Chapman, film maker, and Bethany Wells, Performance Designer.

This event is for everyone, not just designers, so please join us for a cuppa and a natter and a chance to build on our sense of community.

Grab a beverage of your choice and relax in the Bristol Old Vic Foyer Bar alongside friends colleagues from the region as we celebrate the events of Hello Stranger South West.

This will be a casual, informal opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances and create new connections.

This event is completely free however capacity is limited so please register your attendance in advance.

Join us for a drink, talks, and a video showcasing regional designer work.

The North West Design Allotment welcome you to join us at The Yard to celebrate North West Theatre Design of all disciplines and the wider theatre scene in our region. This event is a part of the ”Hello Stranger UK exhibition of performance design 2019-2023”

Our event kicks off at 1pm with open space working, a chance to bring your to do list and tick off some tasks in great company. Throughout the day, we will continue to set up our exhibition. You are more than welcome to drop of any completed exhibition panels, make one of your own - or simply think about some of the provocations that have come from our conversations so far.

If you need to use a scalpel or glue to create your panel, please be mindful to bring a protective work mat. You are welcome to bring materials and equipment of your own. If you would like to contribute to the event using procreate, or digital drawing we have screens available for a short screen recording or a show reel.

At 7pm, the drink and draw social We will have drawing materials available to you so if you fancy doodling as you drink, catch up with friends or find a new collaborator; this is a relaxed social for you to enjoy however you‘d like! It’s been a while since we’ve been to a theatre social, and a very long time since we’ve been to one led by designers! So please come and join the knees-up. Come along to our shed, where we will be around from 1:30 - 4pm to receive panels, make panels and talk all things design. We encourage you to bring materials or objects you would like to make your panel from.

This event is open to students and designers at all stages of their career - it is also ticketed. Please ensure you book your place.
